Jaipur's schools divide between RBSE and CBSE, and the difference is not only syllabus — a good part of RBSE teaching runs in Hindi while most private-school intake is English-medium, so the language a tutor teaches in matters as much as the subject they teach. Tuition here runs across the whole city, from C-Scheme and Bani Park out to Mansarovar, Malviya Nagar, Vaishali Nagar and Jagatpura, in person and online.
The medium question is worth settling before the first class rather than after the first exam. Plenty of children here have a chapter explained to them in Hindi and then have to write the answer in English, and the terminology is where that comes apart: a student who understands the idea perfectly well loses marks because the textbook's word for it never came up at home. If your child has moved from a Hindi-medium school to an English-medium one, or is working through entrance material that only exists in English, ask a prospective tutor which language they will teach in and which language the answer paper will be written in. They are not always the same answer.
The other practical thing is where a tutor already teaches. Mansarovar, Vaishali Nagar and Jagatpura sit on different edges of the city, and someone coming from the far side can realistically hold one fixed slot a week rather than three, which is why arrangements made right across Jaipur so often thin out after the first few weeks. After Class 10 the calculation changes again. A student who stays with RBSE while preparing for an engineering or medical entrance is effectively carrying two syllabi, and a private tutor is usually brought in for the one subject that has to serve both.
