NEET covers Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and the three do not fail in the same way. Biology is a large syllabus where marks go missing to half-remembered detail rather than to difficulty, while Physics is numerical and is usually where students who chose the stream for biology lose ground.
It is one common entrance for medical admission, so every candidate is ranked on the same paper, and that paper carries negative marking. Deciding what to leave unanswered is part of the score, and the pattern of where a student is losing marks is visible in their own test papers long before it is visible in a total.
Families usually add a private tutor for one subject rather than all three, most often Physics. The other common case is a repeat year, where the syllabus is already familiar and what is needed is accuracy, pace and someone to keep the revision honest, rather than fresh teaching.
